Metaverse

The metaverse is an immersive, 3D version of the Internet designed as a single, universal virtual world to be accessed through virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). However, it doesn’t require that those spaces be exclusively accesed via VR or AR, some can be accessed through desktops, game consoles, tablets and even phones.

Virtual Reality

Virtual reality (VR) is a simulated digital experience that can be similar to or completely different from the real world.  Applications of virtual reality include entertainment (particularly video games), education (such as medical or military training) and business (such as virtual meetings). Other types VR-style technology include augmented reality and mixed reality, and them all together are sometimes referred to as extended reality or XR.

Augmented Reality

Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive experience of a real-world environment where the objects that reside in the real world are enhanced by computer-generated perceptual information, sometimes across multiple sensory modalities, including visual, auditory, haptic, somatosensory and olfactory.
